This weekend the Taste of Summer Food Festival at Saint Anne’s Square in Belfast will showcase the finest food produce Northern Ireland has to offer.
Tony O’Neill, Chef and partner at Coppi restaurant in Saint Anne’s Square, has helped to organise the food festival and worked with a range of local bakeries, butchers and independent suppliers to set up shop at the event.
Tony said: “The idea behind the festival is to create an open air market selling fresh produce which will have a real street food feel to it.”
In addition to stalls selling a variety of food and drink, local chefs will lead cookery and pasta making demonstrations and there will be live entertainment, street theatre and face painters.
Canteen at the Mac is running a series of masterclasses on Saturday, August 9 priced at £10 each. Classes include the art of coffee brewing and for those who like their drinks a little stronger there are wine and beer tasting classes.
The festival is on this weekend, 9 and 10 August and has something to offer for all the family. For more information go to visit-belfast.com.
